30 years of automotive design and engineering — BMW, Audi, Polestar, NIO, Mansory. Complete interiors, wheel programmes, engine components, and concept show cars. Class A surfacing built on a foundation of manufacturing engineering that most designers never have.
Three decades of work across automotive design, engineering, and beyond — organised by the disciplines that define the practice.
Military engineering, then a decade on the factory floor — CNC machines, injection moulding, tooling jigs, production tolerances — before I ever opened Alias. Most Class A modellers come from design studios. I came through manufacturing. That background is permanent and it shows in every surface I deliver.
Over 30 years I have contributed to production programmes across BMW, Audi, Polestar, Volvo Trucks, NIO, BYTON, and Mansory — complete interiors, wheel programmes, engine covers, light groups, and concept show cars including the Audi TT Offroad concept shown at Beijing 2014. The NIO and BYTON years were formative in a different way — being inside Chinese EV startups during their critical early phase teaches you to work fast, decide with incomplete information, and deliver under pressure that traditional OEM supply chains never create.
